Short introduction.

2063:
Why do you make music?

Digitalis:
To create and form spaces with sounds in order to modulate and transform them. We believe that every space has an influence on the individual human being living and moving in this space. Wherever you live, there is no escape to room, forms and accoustics. In addition, transforming our musical and personal emotions and and sharing them with friends is very satisfying.

2063:
Your music is very light and zero-gravity-like. I read that you're involved into architecture. What are the things you're interested in connection to architecture?

Digitalis:
Architecture and electronic music are both an essence of rationality and linearity and to know and break the rules of them. Architecture means organizing life and creating spaces with an ambience of good-feeling, fullfilling the needs of future users. Like the materials in architecture, we use sounds to compose constructions, which can be much more independent from law, statics and costs. To infiltrate these soundscapes in different surroundings and to explore the relations between sounds and spaces, is what we intend with our performances.

How does software affect your music? Is there a connection between beeing musician and beeing technician?

Digitalis:
New developments in virtual music production gave us unlimited possibilities to create new sounds and to perform them in a new way. We use our power-books as instruments equipped with a complete studio-environment which we can take everywhere to generate these sounds and exchange them on the internet in a digital format. In fact, we understand releasing tracks on the internet as a democratic process against the rules of the existing music industry; technical improvements made spreading music all over the world possible. the user can be accessed directly and it's only up to him to decide wether he likes our music or not!
